(THEN) CONGRESSMAN DAVID "BITTER VITTER" OPPOSES EDWIN EDWARDS PARDON |
“There is a foul odor coming from Metairie, LA lately even more offensive to the nostrils then the horrid smell of broccoli cooking; the stench of piety from the 1st District rivals that of a dung heap, complete with the annoying buzzing sound created by little flying insects beating their self (righteously) made lily white angel wings – but dung flies they are none the less, carrying with them the disease of hypocrisy” |

Sanctimonious David Vitter has urged President George Bush not to pardon Edwin Edwards when the million signed petitions comes before him. A million citizens across the state want Edwin Edwards released from Federal Prison and this elected official (of one district in the state) who is suppose to represent the citizens by job definition, instead pursues his own pious agenda; robbing the Edwards family of all hope. Take a chill pill Vitter - sure the good judge will hook you up. "Fellow Republicans quietly dubbed him a shameless self-promoter or simply "Bitter Vitter," and hardly any of them backed his 1999 run for Congress" (Feb.1, 2004 Times Picayune excerpt). Reminds us all of Senator Joe McCarthy, shameless, self promoting and mean spirited - and the whole time waving the good ole red, white and blue. |
